David M. Boldon

Mr. Boldon has significant and broad-based expertise spanning over twenty-five years representing both the sell and buy sides of the capital markets. Specific experience includes Fixed Income Securities, Derivatives, Collateralized Loan Obligations, ISDA Swap Agreements, Commercial Paper, Bankers Acceptances, and Municipal Bonds. David also has significant experience in negotiating with the three largest debt rating agencies S&P, Moody’s and Fitch on behalf of clients to secure the highest debt ratings possible. In addition, David invested several years developing expertise in the risk management software market.

Prior to founding The Boldon Group in 2004, Mr. Boldon built several successful global sales teams that successfully marketed risk management software solutions to the structured derivative market place, including 12 of the largest Structured Investment Vehicles in the market in the early 90s. Additionally, he built sales teams marketing high volume Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income Risk Management Software Solutions to major banks around the world. Mr. Boldon built and managed sales teams in New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, and Bangkok. Specific Product expertise included Credit Default Probability Models sold to the Federal Reserve System and Insurance Companies such as Prudential, Genworth, Metlife, and Fidelity Investments.

Prior to his work in the risk management software sector, Mr. Boldon managed Fixed Income Sales, Trading, and Origination teams for two major financial institutions, First Interstate Bank and Standard Charter Bank which spanned more than 17 years. His teams were responsible for originating the very first securitization of The U.S. Export Import Bank (EXIM Bank). The securitization process created highly marketable Triple A Rated, EXIM Bank guaranteed, Medium Term Note obligations from less well rated, third world debtors, including banks and large foreign corporations which opened major channels of capital for the borrowers. His team originated over $2 billion in Medium Term Notes for sovereign and corporate borrowers from Mexico, Argentina, Russia, Brazil and India. Additionally, Mr. Boldon concurrently managed the Trading Desk in Los Angeles with responsibilities for managing risks in US Treasuries, Corporate and Municipal Bonds, Commercial Paper and Bankers Acceptances. His management of the Trading Desk included Principal oversight of the retail, middle market and institutional sales teams in Los Angeles, New York, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Sacramento, Hong Kong and Singapore.
